Contact MasterGas through the Contact Us page on mastergas.co.uk and ask for "all my customers, their addresses and the next inspection dates as a CSV or Excel file". If they send it, go straight to Part 2.

Your customers come with you. Here is exactly how.
MasterGas keeps your data on your iPhone or iPad, and its Dropbox backup is a snapshot that only MasterGas can read. There is no button to export your customers as a spreadsheet. Your certificates and invoices went out as PDFs by email, and with "Always CC" switched on you have a copy of every one. So the move is two parts: get a customer list out, then import it into GASpilot.
Part 1 — get your customer list
No export? Make a quick list
Open a spreadsheet with the columns Name, Phone, Email, Address, Next due and fill it in from your MasterGas customers screen. Your CC'd certificate emails show each address and date. Save it as CSV.

Part 2 — import the file into GASpilot
- Sign in to GASpilot and tap Settings.
- Open Import customers from another app (CSV or phone contacts).
- Tap the file button and choose your CSV file.
- The mapping screen opens with the columns matched from their headings: Name, Company, Phone, Email, Address, Notes and Next due. Set any column you don't want to — skip —. The three-row preview shows exactly what will come in.
- Tap Import N customers.
- Read the summary: customers added, inspection dates carried over, and anyone already in your app, who is skipped so there are no duplicates.
- Wrong file or wrong column? Tap Undo this import on that summary and everything it added is removed.
What you'll have afterwards
Every customer, ready to pick
Name, phone, email, address and notes. They fill in new certificates, invoices and quotes for you.
Reminders from the due dates
Every Next due date you import becomes an upcoming job, so your customers are reminded on time, the same as before.
Old certificates as data
MasterGas gave your customers the PDF. Keep those emails: they are your records. GASpilot starts issuing from your first new certificate, and next year you can duplicate it.
Invoice history
Past invoices stay in MasterGas and in your sent emails. Keep them for your accountant before your subscription ends.
